The Ohana Daily Devotional is intended as a supplement to our annual devotional book. We encourage you to pick one up at the church if you do not already have one. The email goes out each morning to all those who have requested it. It is also available here, for those who prefer to visit our site to read it, or if you would like to catch up on past days devotionals.
If you would like to receive a copy each morning in your email, or you may also subscribe to our RSS Feed.
I Timothy 2:1-8 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
The Bible tells in 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” God’s purpose of sending His only begotten Son was to save all men from hell and He is patiently waiting for all to come to repentance by accepting Jesus Christ into their hearts. For those of us who have already received God’s gift we must share Him with those who have not received Him yet. We should count it a great privilege that God wants to use us to bring men to Him. There are rewards waiting for us in heaven for bringing men to God by sharing the gospel to them.
We not only need to preach the gospel to the lost but also help pray for those who are risking their lives preaching and teaching the truth of God's word in foreign countries like the missionaries. We also need to pray for our pastors and evangelists. Everyone of us as born again believers have a part in spreading the word of God here in our local churches and throughout the world through prayer, giving, going, sharing, and helping. Let us all work together as a team to accomplish great things for God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
