Isaiah 55:8-11 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God's Word is perfect, and we are not. Psalm 19:7 says "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple." Though we are not perfect, God loves us and sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. When Jesus ascended up on high, He left the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to guide, teach, and instruct us to live a victorious life here on earth. John 14: 26 states, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." Clearly, the Holy Spirit who lives in every Christian helps us to understand every word from the Bible. We cannot understand the Bible apart from the Spirit, because Satan hath blinded the eyes and minds of those who do not believe on Him. II Corinthians 4:4 say, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." That is why it is very significant for us believers to share the Truth, so that they can see the Light of Jesus and be saved. Moreover, sin hinders us from understanding what God wants to tell us. If our life is focused on the world and in sin, we often times distort the Truth and make it work for us instead of conforming to God’s plan. The good news is that God is always ready to forgive us when we ask his forgiveness wholeheartedly. When our relationship with God is restored, He can again clearly speak to us through His words. We therefore need to surrender our will and make it God’s will. We need to make our thoughts and ways concur with His, because our ways are finite and earthly while God’s will and plan for us is infinite and heavenly. Lastly, we need to realize that that when He forgives, He remembers it no more.
God's word is not only perfect, it is powerful and effective, and it convicts us from sin in order to change us into the image of God. Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrows and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Indeed, Gods words are powerful, we need to consistently study It and allow God to speak to us through His words. It is very beneficial to us. Our life will become beautiful, if we allow the Spirit to work in our lives; it does not mean that we are free from problems, but it means that we have peace in the midst of problems and difficulties. We need to seek Him with all our hearts and ask the Spirit in prayer to help us understand, so that we may be able to apply it into our lives. II Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." We need to study, read, and allow the scriptures to convict us, rebuke us, guide us and change us. II Timothy 3:14, "But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou has learned the. And from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
Do not give up brethren; pray for wisdom to understand God’s words, and keep on.
