Ohana's History

The History of a church is really "His-story". It is the story of how God has worked in the lives of people, bringing them together one by one to be "fitly framed together...an Holy temple in the Lord" (Ephesians 2:20-22).

Sunday Services

Sunday morning is a time for challenge; to challenge the unsaved to trust Christ and to challenge the Christian in some area of their Christian walk. The early service is the same message as the second service. The song service is abbreviated and there is no special music. The Sunday morning service tells us what we should be doing while Sunday evening's message tells us how to do it.

Nursery

A well staffed, clean, comfortable and safe nursery is provided for infants to 24 month olds in every service. Our staff of loving volunteers are ready to serve you. You child will be well cared for and you will be able to relax and focus on the service and the Word of God.

Sunday School

A variety of age appropriate classes are offered for all age groups from 24 months to adults each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. There are two grades to a class up through the sixth grade. The teens have their own class taught by our Youth Pastor. Adults can choose between a topical Bible study or a verse by verse book study.

Children's Ministries

"Suffer the little children to come unto me" (Mark 10:14). The Lord Jesus made time for the children and so must we. Our well-trained, caring teachers and Nursery workers will care for your children in a godly and professional manner. Your children will be taught the Word of God, challenged in their Christian walk and led in worship of God.

Patch the Pirate Club

A pirate theme sounds strange to use for a Christian children's club. Pick up a club flyer to find out more about this Wednesday night, fun, character building program for children. Your kids will look forward to coming each week as they learn character training through the Bible and music.

Teens

An active and exciting teen program is important to help guide our youth as they face the challenges of living in today's society. We offer Sunday School classes specifically for teens and the struggles they face. On Wednesday evening, the teens participate in Youth Chapel under the guidance of our Youth Pastor. About twice a month we offer sometimes normal and sometimes crazy, but always fun youth activities for fun and fellowship. (Ask about getting a copy of the Teen handbook)

Singles

Along with their regular Friday night Bible Study, the singles gather often for encouragement and fellowship together. We also offer a home cooked meal every Sunday after the morning service. Get out of the barracks, dorm or your room at home and have some fun and be challenged from the Word of God while enjoying good fellowship with others your age. (Ask about getting a copy of the Single's handbook)

Ladies' Fellowship

The ladies have a weekly Bible study every Tuesday, during the school year. They also look forward to three special fellowships each year. The Spring Banquet, Fall Fellowship and Christmas Soup n' Bread.

Men's Fellowship

Meets occasionally on Monday nights to play sports together and afterward share in a Bible challenge, prayer and testimonies. We also have a men's prayer breakfast that meets on the various Saturday mornings during the year.

Preacher Boys

Provides special training and opportunities for those who feel called into full-time service. Classes are offered as needed for training for full-time ministry. Bible college credit is available for those who are interested. We also sponsor the FBI (Faith Bible Institute) Dvd course. Ask for a flyer.

Music Ministry

Choir, special music, instrumentals and song-leading: There are many opportunities to use your talents for the Lord. Our music program glorifies the Lord and is a blessing to the soul. We enjoy singing and hearing the great hymns of the faith.

Young Married's

Join together with other young couples for fellowship and encouragement. Share ideas on how to build your marriage and raise your young children in the Lord. The Young Marrieds group is designed especially for those who have been married six years or less, are or twenty-six years and younger, or have children under six years of age.

Tweenagers

This group is for those who are not young any more but aren't over-the-hill yet. This ministry is designed for those who are over 26 years of age or have children in the 8-18 year age group or have been married for seven years or longer.

Overcomers

This is for those who are forty and older. You are not over-the-hill, you are Overcomers! You are not too old that you can't still enjoy getting out to do things as you fellowship together and you still need to be challenged in your walk with the Lord. Don't sit at home in your rocking chair, come on out and be an Overcomer!
