<itunes:summary> Worship services at Ohana Baptist Church focus is the preaching of the Bible, and the preparing of the heart through songs and hymns. Sunday morning is a time for challenge; to challenge the unsaved to trust Christ and to challenge the Christian in some area of their Christian walk. The Sunday morning service tells us what we should be doing while Sunday evening's message tells us how to do it.</itunes:summary>

<title>Endure and Forgive</title>

<itunes:author>Guest Speaker</itunes:author>

<itunes:subtitle>Resist Temptation and Forgive</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>What would Jesus do? What did Jesus do? Jesus was tempted in all points of life, yet He did not fall once to sin. Isaiah 53:9; Jesus had done no sin, neither was any deceit in His mouth. We need to be like Jesus and restrain from the temptations of our lives. Seek His face always and pray for His strength and wholesome armour. Be Holy for God is Holy. Learn to forgive and forget the sins that have been committed against you. Ishmael was born out of Abraham&#39;s sin. In Genesis 22:2 God says, Take now thy son, thine ONLY SON Isaac, whom thou lovest. Amazing! God forgave Abraham for the sin he committed. How loving and forgiving is our God that He would forgive and forget our sins like that! Praise the Lord. Walk uprightly, resist temptation, and forgive! In Jesus&#39; name do these things, Amen.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:subtitle>Comparing the lives of Saul and David. One was forgiven the other wasn&#39;t. Why?</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>Comparing the lives of Saul and David. One was forgiven the other wasn&#39;t. Why?
When they sinned how did they react. Saul blamed others while David took ownership of his sin.
Saul&#39;s punishment was that he was rejected from being king. (I Sam 15:22&#45;23)
David had his wives taken away from him in public. (II Sam 12:10&#45;12)
Saul responded by begged for forgiveness, but because he feared the people, not the Lord. He was sorry he got caught. (I Sam 15:30)
David admitted his sins. (II Sam 12:20&#45;23)
The result; Saul lost the spirit of God. (I Sam 16:14)
David lost the joy of the Lord, (Psalm 51:19) but he was still used by God.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Romans 13:7, Ephesians 3:13&#45;17, 1 Timothy 6:1, 1 Timothy 1:17
We need to render honor to who honor is due. This includes parents, teachers, bosses, Pastors, peers, your spouse, yourself and God. Obey, Honor, and Respect. Obedience is doing what you&#39;re told to do. It can be demanded. Honor is doing something because they&#39;re your authority and can be expected. Respect is earned.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Romans 13:7, Psalm 116:12, Proverbs 3:56, Psalms 98:8
Render honor to God. Honor means &quot;to give weight&quot;, to &quot;value&quot;, and an &quot;ornament&quot;. Give God His dues. We owe a debt of life and a debt of love. Whom should we honor? Mothers, Fathers, Teachers, Pastors, others &#45; but first we must honor God with our words, sacrifices and life. To honor God we must humble ourselves.</itunes:summary>

<title>Stand Firmly in Christ</title>

<itunes:author>Guest Speaker</itunes:author>

<itunes:subtitle>Standing firmly for Jesus Christ; stand for the lost sinners.</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>Our guest speaker Jeff Greeson explains that we must stand for Christ. Children come with an instructions manual; the Bible. Teach them to live according to the Bible. Proverbs 27:17 &#45; People are sharpened by each other in Church. When men and women come together in fellowship they grow stronger in Christ. We must stand firmly in Christ; we must stand for the lost sinners. Seek to grow strong in Christ and reach out to those that need Christ. We must not stand in our pride and selfishness. Put on the whole armor of God and resist evil; be the light that God calls us to be and shine in this world of darkness.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>James 1:2, Matthew 5:9, Psalm 107:23&#45;31, Mark 4:37&#45;41
Sometimes we need a pacemaker so our hearts can be at peace. Have we ever wondered if God really cares, why we have the storms in our lives? God does not promise to take the storms away, He does promise to take us to the other side though. We forget that so easily. How easily we forget how God has taken care of us in the past through other storms. The problem is, Jesus see&#39;s us, but do we see Him? Sometimes we need to take the responsibility to just abide.</itunes:summary>

Ephesians 6:10&#45;12 Be strong in the Lord and put on God&#39;s wholesome armor that you may be able to stand against the devil. James 1:14&#45;15 Many Christians will delay sin rather than fleeing from it. We must flee and seek Christ&#39;s power for strength against temptation. <itunes:summary>Temperance is like a nut in that the hard outer shell of your standards protects the fruit of your heart. It starts by learning to have self&#45;control in learning to deny yourself. It is also learning how to call upon the power of the Holy Spirit. Finally it is to learn the discipline of Godly exercise.</itunes:summary>

<title>Dress it, Dig it, and Dung it</title>

<itunes:author>Pastor Wayne Surface</itunes:author>

<itunes:subtitle>How to grow fruit in your relationhips.</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>Luke 13:6&#45;9; I Peter 4:8, Ephesians 5:29; Hebrews 12:15
To grow fruit in your marriage and other relationships, you must learn to dress it, dig it, and dung it. The Bible calls a farmer a husbandman. As husbands, we are the farmers of our families. If there is no fruit, then it is our fault. We must dig down to the root of our problems to fix them. &quot;Mowing&quot; over problems doesn&#39;t take care of them &#45; they just keep growing back. Nobody wins a manure fight. Don&#39;t cast it at each other, but cast it down to fertilize your relationship to help it grow.</itunes:summary>

<title>Making Lemonade Out of Life</title>

<itunes:subtitle>Adding joy to our life makes circumstances easier to deal with.</itunes:subtitle>

<itunes:summary>Galatians 5:22&#45;25; Psalms 16:11; Romans 14:7
Joy is like a lemon because it has the opposite effect as a lemon, make you sour, and When I think of lemons and joy, I think of Lemon Joy dish washing soap. Joy, like soap, is what you add to life&#39;s problems to make them easier to deal with. Joy has a clean, fresh smell as does His sacrifice for us and ours for Him. Joy also brings the shine to life.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Galatians 5:22&#45;25, Proverbs 11:30, Luke 8:11, Matthew 9:36&#45;38
GOD has called us to be farmers of men. We need to sow as many seeds as we can in every way we can. After you plant the seeds, water them. If you are faithful, you will harvest a crop.
