Our Ministries

reddot1.gif (934 bytes) Sunday Services:

Sunday morning is a time for challenge; to challenge the unsaved to trust Christ and to challenge the Christian in some area of their Christian walk. The Sunday morning service tells us what we should be doing while Sunday evening's message tells us how to do it.

Sunday morning we also have our Micronesian service. We currently have a worship service in Chuukese at 10:30.

Nursery: A well staffed, clean, comfortable and safe nursery is provided for every service. Our staff of loving mothers is well trained and ready to serve you. You child will be well cared for and you will be able to relax and focus on the service and the Word of God.

Sunday School : A variety of classes are offered each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. Classes are offered for all age groups from 24 months to adults. There are two grades to a class up through the sixth grade. The teens are divided into two groups, 7th-9th and 10-12th grades. Adults can choose between a topical Bible study or a verse by verse book study.

Children's Ministries: "Suffer the little children to come unto me" (Mark 10:14). The Lord Jesus made time for the children and so must we. Our well-trained, caring teachers and Nursery workers will care for your children in a godly and professional manner.

Patch the Pirate Club: A pirate theme sounds strange to use for a Christian children's club. Pick up a club flyer to find out more about this Wednesday night, fun, character building program for children. Your kids will look forward to coming each week as they learn character training through the Bible and music.

Teens: An active and exciting teen program is important to help guide our youth as they face the challenges of living in today's society. We offer Sunday School classes specifically for teens and the struggles they face. On Wednesday evening, the teens participate in Youth Chapel under the guidance of our Youth Pastor. About twice a month we offer sometimes normal and sometimes crazy, but always fun youth activities for fun and fellowship. (Ask about getting a copy of the Teen handbook)

Singles: Along with their regular Friday night Bible Study, the singles gather often for encouragement and fellowship together. We also offer a home cooked meal every Sunday after the morning service. Get out of the barracks, dorm or your room at home and have some fun and be challenged from the Word of God while enjoying good fellowship with others your age. (Ask about getting a copy of the Single's handbook)

Ladies' Fellowship: The ladies have a weekly Bible study every Tuesday, during the school year. They also look forward to three special fellowships each year. The Spring Banquet, Fall Fellowship and Christmas Soup n' Bread.

Men's Fellowship: Meets on a Monday night most months to play a sport together and afterward share in a Bible challenge, prayer and testimonies. We also have a men's prayer breakfast that usually meets on the first Saturday of the month.

Church Library: Christian books, videos, and tapes for all ages are available for checkout on a variety of subjects. There is a good selection of both Christian and secular (Philippians 4:8) materials to provide a welcome alternative to the worlds entertainment. Materials are color coded by category and age appropriateness. Home School families will especially appreciate having these resources available for their family.

Church Bookstore: Books, Bible, and tapes are offered at 20-50% off normal prices. We keep a small selection of material on hand and we can order just about anything else at a discount rate.

Preacher Boys: Provides special training and opportunities for those who feel called into full-time service. Although women cannot be preachers, they are welcome to come to the class to learn how to serve the Lord. Class meets every other Tuesday evening. Bible college credit is available for those who are interested.

Music Ministry: Choir, special music, instrumentals and song-leading: There are many opportunities to use your talents for the Lord. Our music program glorifies the Lord and is a blessing to the soul. We enjoy singing and hearing the great hymns of the faith.

Missions: We are supporting missionaries all over the world through prayer, giving, letter writing, and mailings. Our missionaries are an important part of our extended family. One of the special blessings is getting to know the missionaries who are passing through the islands on their way to the field.

Young Marrieds : Join together with other young couples for fellowship and encouragement. Share ideas on how to build your marriage and raise your young children in the Lord. The Young Marrieds group is designed especially for those who have been married six years or less or twenty-six years and younger or have children under six years of age.

Tweenagers: This group is for those that are in between being Young Marrieds but are not Overcomers yet. These are those who are under forty but still want to get out with their peers and enjoy good Christian fellowship and be challenged in their walk with the Lord.

Overcomers: This is for those who are forty and older. We are not over-the-hill, we are Overcomers! We're not too old that we can't still enjoy getting out to do things as we fellowship together and we still need to be challenged in our walk with the Lord. Don't sit at home in your rocking chair, come on out and be an Overcomer!

No church can offer everything, but we are here to serve you. If you don't find a program that will meet your needs, let us know and we will do our best to find one.

Check the weekly bulletin for other activities or exceptions to the above weekday schedule.
